CAMPKO gas filters are mounted between the gas cylinder and the lpg regulator. The gas connection to the filter can be made by means of a flexible high-pressure gas hose or fixed piping, e.g. for LPG tanks. The outlet of the filter is usually mounted directly on the gas regulator with external thread M20 x 1.5 (G. 13), e.g. Truma or GOK Mono-/ DuoControl or Cavagna Multimatik.

Why is a gas filter useful in the camper?

LPG (propane/butane) is in most cases a by-product of crude oil production. Not all residues are removed in this process. These aerosols remain as liquefied droplets in the gas and are drawn into the LPG conversion kit in the gas flow.

These aerosols can accumulate in the gas regulator, the pipelines and the valves of the consumer appliances and, over time, lead to malfunctions. While some consumer appliances, such as heaters, can be repaired with some effort, lpg regulators must be completely replaced because they must not be opened.

How do I install the CAMPKO gas filter?

A high-pressure hose or a pipe (e.g. copper, steel, aluminium or thermoplastic hose) is connected to the filter inlet with external thread M20x1.5 (G.36). Important: If the gas container is already connected to the line/hose, close the Withdrawal valve beforehand.

The filter outlet is equipped with a union nut M20x1.5 (G.36) and is connected directly to a gas regulator with external thread M20 x 1.5 (G. 13).

Is the CAMPKO gas filter compatible with all gas regulators?

Yes, the CAMPKO gas filter can be used with all gas regulators that have an external thread M20 x 1.5 (G. 13) on the inlet side.

How often should the gas filter insert be replaced?

The replaceable filter insert should be replaced every two years at the latest, depending on the usage.

How can I tell if the gas in the camper is dirty?

The gas flame in the therme or on the camping hob should be deep blue. A yellowish flame indicates dirty gas.
