The fuel pressure emulator FPE-A with auto-adaptation function is designed for use in a wide range of vehicle models where faults related to the pressure regulator circuit in the fuel rail or too high/low rail pressure occur during operation of the engine running on LPG/CNG.
It is compatible with the following vehicle models:
Volvo: S40, S60, S60R, S80, V70, XC60, XC70, XC90
Opel: Astra, Insignia
Chevrolet: Captiva

Operating principle
When the engine is running on LPG/CNG, there is no petrol supply from the rail, so the rail pressure does not change as expected from the petrol ECM. This is interpreted as a fault in the pressure control loop. As a result, the ECM shortens the injection time pulses and/or reports a fault that may make it impossible to continue driving. The FPE-A works with the control loop and rectifies the problem. After installation and initial start-up, the activated adjustment function selects the parameters and emulation mode for a specific vehicle in an automatic mode. The settings are stored in the system's non-volatile memory and can only be changed by another adjustment cycle.
